The Myrtles Are Arising
I am a prophetic dreamer.
I have had too many prophetic dreams that became reality - not just for myself, but for so many others, and even for nations - to deny that.
While I do not believe that every dream I have is prophetic, I do know how, through study and maturity, to discern which ones are from the Lord and which dreams came because of a movie I watched or a meal I had. LOL
Recently, I was reading in Zachariah chapter one, and I was reading about a dream that God was giving the prophet Zachariah. It was a prophetic dream. And in that dream, He mentions an angel; not just any angel, but a commanding angel - an angel in charge - standing beside a myrtle tree. He mentions the myrtle tree several times. He even says that other angels report to that angel standing near the myrtle tree.
As a prophetic dreamer and someone who often interprets the dreams of others when Holy Spirit gives me the unction and utterance, I have learned to pay attention to the details in dreams.
What stands out the most? What was God highlighting in that dream?
In Zachariah’s dream, God was highlighting the myrtle tree.
To give a little bit more understanding, God was ready to show a rebellious Israel mercy. He was ready to restore them through their repentance and deal with the enemies who had come against them.
As I studied, I began to do research on the myrtle tree and kept hearing in my spirit that “the myrtles were growing.” The myrtles are arising!
What is so special about a myrtle tree? Well, a myrtle tree goes through intense struggle while being formed. The process of a myrtle tree’s growth is intense and slow. It has to withstand a lot before you see growth or the fulfillment of its existence. Once a myrtle tree is fully grown and fully arises from what was once just a seed It is said that it is so symmetrical it looks as if it stays pruned throughout its life. Until it arises, its growth is completely hidden from the natural eye.
One author has this to say about the myrtle tree:
“There are many unique patterns that form in the grain of the myrtle. Myrtle trees grow slowly, and the struggle or stress during the growth of the tree causes the patterns and its unique figurations. When seen on a hill or in a pasture the mature myrtle is so symmetrical it would seem to be a carefully pruned, cultivated tree.”
The Myrtle tree represents so many things in the word: peace, prosperity, provision, protection, and most of all, what’s coming after the suffering has ended. The salvation for all of those who have endured.
The prophet Isaiah said that a time was coming where we would expect the brier, but instead we would have the myrtle in its place. (Isaiah 55:13) We would expect thorns and dryness, but instead we would have prosperity, peace, protection, and provision.
When you study the life of Esther, you realize that Esther was her Persian name, but Hadassah was her Hebrew name. In Hebrew, Hadassah means myrtle. Many believe that the Lord gave her that name Hadassah, because one day she would be the representation of peace, protection, prosperity and provision for all of Israel.
I feel in my heart like the Lord is saying that the myrtles are arising. Those who have been hidden, those who have been suffering, those who have been through a long drawn out process, those who feel like they’ve been alone and unheard…the myrtles are arising.
Those who would represent the protection, the prosperity, and the provision and peace of our Lord Jesus.
Is that you? Have you been feeling like everything in your life is really a briar tree? A bush made up of thorns that has nothing beautiful on it? Have you felt hidden? Have you felt like you had something to offer, some thing that your life was supposed to produce, but you have not seen the fruit of it yet?
Maybe it’s because you were a Myrtle all along. Through your suffering, through your hardship, through your pain, God was shaping you, God was pruning you, all so that you could be a representation of His peace, His prosperity, His provision, His protection, and most of all His love!
My prophetic word from the Lord for you today is that the myrtles are coming! It’s time for the myrtles to arise! Maybe, just maybe, you ought to begin to thank God for the things you’ve been through and for the days that are coming and say “Lord, let all of the things that I’ve been through and all of the things that I’ve endured be turned into something beautiful in this season. Make my life like the myrtle tree, a representation of your love, your provision, your protection, and your peace, in the name of Jesus!”
